ENTER2020, the leading eTourism conference organised annually by the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT), will be held at University of Surrey in Guildford, UK on 8-10 January 2020. Renowned for its topical debates, inspiring keynotes, and highly practical workshops, ENTER has brought together leading academics and industry professionals in travel and technology since 1994. Over the years the conference has firmly established its place as a platform showcasing cutting-edge research in eTourism and shedding light on current developments as well as future challenges in the area.

Theme: The Role if IT in Tourism Innovation

Information technology and innovation are tightly linked in practice and academia. To succeed in a digital, global environment, tourism businesses and destinations must (re)-invent their products, services or processes with information technology. The interdisciplinary nature of tourism suggests there are many opportunities for understanding innovation and innovation-fueled entrepreneurship from a variety of perspectives. In this special track, we welcome submissions that contribute to our understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship, that, by connecting with the progressively digitalized tourism sector, unravel secrets of success, offer insight into business failures, and are integrated into responsible and sustainable destination development.
